Curves Can Conquer a Vehicle That Isn't Optimized for Steering

Steering is a process that involves precise timing. The moment you turn your steering wheel, your car must react properly so that its wheels will successfully drift around curves and turns on the road. However, if an automobile understeers or oversteers, most driving maneuvers will be tougher because the steering wheel's timing will be off.

Understeering and oversteering can make a car behave differently. If your automobile understeers, it will continue to drive straight for a while after you spin the steering wheel. Depending on your speed, you may drive off the edge of a road if you don't turn the steering wheel enough. When a vehicle oversteers, you'll have to rotate your steering wheel with care because the slightest motion could propel your vehicle into a lane that has traffic.

Duncan Acura has technicians that specialize in steering systems. If you have a vehicle that doesn't steer properly on the road, you can resolve the problem at our shop.
